Heart Guard achieved Proof-of-Concept!

Last month Heart Guard passed another animal experiment. Two cardiac surgery operations were performed on pigs. Study aimed to diagnose intraoperative heart muscle acidosis with working prototype of Heart Guard system: the probe and hardware.

Cardiac acidosis was induced by coronary artery ligation (myocardial infarction) and general, respiratory hypoxia. In both cased Heart Guard system showed deep acidosis of heart muscle.

This experiment was a final proof-of-concept planned to be reached in this phase of the project.
