WORLD POPULATION ACCESS TO CARDIAC SURGERY

Latest global analysis revealed that 75% of the entire WORLD does not have access to cardiac surgery when needed. Data were gathered by Cardiothoracic Surgery Network (CTSNet).

More than 4.5 billion (4 500 000 000) remain out of range of cardiac surgical live saving procedures due to: lack of infrastructure, cardiac surgeons, and financial coverage. 
However, low-mortality rate in low and middle-income countries was recorded.
